Once a year, foreigners from all over the world come to Canada. Due to the fact that this government is considered a northern country, it does not boast of beach resorts, but it has plenty of other good entertainment for travelers.

The city of Ottawa is considered the capital of Canada. In terms of population, Ottawa has less than one million people. The British built this city two centuries ago. The islands adjacent to Canada are included in the non-specialized area of the country. The most interesting thing is that this state has only one neighboring border – with the USA. On both sides, Canada is surrounded by the waters of three oceans (Atlantic, Arctic and Quiet). The Canadian Shield, a rocky outcrop covered in dense forests and towering mountains, occupies half of Canada’s total area. The local outbacks of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are made up of the foothill systems of the Great Plains, called the Canadian Prairies, which are striking in their scale.
The territories of Canada in the northwest – Yukon and Nunavut – occupy 40% of the entire territory of this state. In addition, although there are cities, this part of the country is not actually inhabited by people. Much of this area is rich in pristine nature. There are a couple of the most famous bodies of water in the Great Lakes: Ontario, Superior, Erie, Michigin, Huron.

The weather in Canada varies depending on the region. A temperate climate with mild winters and rain prevails in the coastal areas. During the winter season, this country receives a lot of snow, and most of the time it happens in the northern regions.
Canadian cuisine
The French and English influenced the culinary traditions of Canadians. The northern people prefer the cuisine of the local indigenous people. The most popular drink in Canada is syrup made from deciduous maple sap. A classic local dish is fried potato food – french fries with meat sauce and cheese.
Canada for tourists
Different peoples who moved to this country with their own customs and traditions united into a single culture of Canada. Not only memorable dates associated with religion are celebrated here, but also the simplest holidays. The most recognizable and popular among them are the Marine Festival and the Walrus Festival in Vancouver, and the Festival of Lights in Montreal and many others.
Although Canada is located in the northern part of North America, this country has quite a lot of high-quality beaches with hot water and sandy shores.
