  1. Check the radiator diode bridges.   2. The driver parts are checked with an ohmmeter. The deformed part must be desoldered and then replaced;

  • Arc breakage occurs due to a short circuit and breakdown of the winding. Qualification is possible by simply checking the windings and drives. The solution is to replace the distorted part;
  • Activation of protection during normal connection. Here the problem may lie in the capacitor, which will have to be completely replaced during this time. But most often the problem lies somewhere in the cable wires, magnetic circuit sheets or coil turns. At this time, you can simply re-insulate the wiring system;
  • Humming noise during operation, excessive heating. There can be many reasons – the load is very high due to long, endless work, the welding wire does not fit the profile, the force is inappropriate. The cause may also be a faulty coil core or a short circuit in the wires. As a result, the repair method depends on the specific malfunction – sometimes you just need to correct, tighten or insulate something, and sometimes this little thing needs to be changed completely.

These are common and well-known breakdowns. But in fact, a short circuit often occurs in the coil winding, which leads to insulation burnout. Here, for example, repairing electric welding will not be the most common, since it requires great vigilance and cleanliness when rewinding the coil to a new one.

Rectifiers and semi-automatic devices

Rectifiers are a cross between an inverter and a transformer, and as a result, methods that are favorable to both types of equipment have a good chance of being used to repair a welding machine. In most cases, it is necessary to rewind the coils, restore the insulation and replace parts (most often the capacitor and regulator).

The control unit and diode rectifier also have every chance of being damaged, but they can be repaired autonomously only if you have knowledge of working with electronics.

Between the inverters and rectifiers there are semi-automatic welding machines. As a result, the bulk of repair methods become close to inverter welding equipment. But sometimes mechanical damage is observed here due to excessive friction of parts. Only replacement will undoubtedly help in repair.

At a high level of use and repair of electric welding machines, these factors should be taken into account:

  • Parts that automatically collapse are usually replaced rather than repaired;
