Sweden is a northern country located on the Scandinavian peninsula. Finland and Norway border this country, and the Øresund Bridge connects the country with Denmark.
The population of Sweden receives almost 10 million people. Most people live in the southern part of the country, while 85% live in other cities of the country.
The city of Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. The Scandinavian mountains are located in the west of the country. The country is rich in forest resources. The islands of Holland and Oland belong to Sweden. Lakes Vänern and Vättern are the largest in the whole country. Due to the fact that Sweden is ruled by a monarchy based on the constitution, the president is an overlord. Along with this, legislative power is in the hands of the Swedish Parliament, which is governed by the Prime Minister.

About the climate in Sweden
The temperate climate of the country has a favorable effect on the weather, but it is clearly expressed by three climatic territories. The southern territorial part has a warmer climate due to the presence of the Norwegian mountains, which reliably shelter and prevent the loss of huge amounts of precipitation in the form of rain. The oceanic climate predominates in the center, while the subarctic climate prevails in the northern part of the country.
Sweden is “rich” in the Gulf of Bothnia and the Baltic Sea. The length of the coast stretches over three thousand kilometers. There are rivers in the country in measured quantities, the most recognizable of which are the Kalix-Elv, Thurne-Elv, Ume-Elv and Skellefte-Elv.
Sweden is a country with the oldest history
The history of Sweden has deep roots, ranging from the Vikings to King Charles XII. Historical data will not yet be able to accurately determine the year and date of formation of the Kingdom of Sweden. There are cities that still have medieval streets, fortresses and castles. Tourists are recommended to take a cruise along the coastal waters, go fishing in Swedish reservoirs, which are rich in fish, and, of course, relax at the country’s ski resorts.
In the Middle Ages, the Kingdom of Sweden held power throughout the entire Scandinavian Peninsula for a long time, and thus its authority affected the customs and traditions of neighboring countries. But for their part, the Swedish people acquired some of the cultures from other countries. For many people who are not familiar with Swedish customs, these people will seem a little unusual. Every year, local residents celebrate extraordinary holidays with unusual names: “Waffle Days”, “Cinnamon Bun Days” and even later.
National Swedish cuisine
To prepare various dishes, Swedes usually use fish (herring), seafood, meat, potatoes, and cheese. Mushrooms, berries and game are used in many Swedish recipes. A favorite classic dish is meatballs paired with sauce and boiled potatoes.

For tourists, Sweden is reliable at any time. Whoever visits this country is sure to bring home Swedish folk crafts, sweets and chocolate, and jewelry made of silver and gold and the like as souvenirs. And, of course, a lot of photographs, because in Sweden there is a lot to see and capture as a memory!
