Europe

Europe is one of the smallest continents on the planet, being attached to Eurasia. The temperate climate found in most of the European territory produces hot and warm winters and summers.
Many centuries ago, modern people wiped out the tribes inhabiting this part of the continent, which marked the beginning of European civilization. According to some historical data, Europe was the name given to the daughter of the Phoenician king Agenora and Telephassa, who later became the wife of Zeus as a result of her abduction.
Europe is washed by two oceans (Arctic and Atlantic) and three seas (Mediterranean, Black and Caspian). From the east, Europe is supported by the Ural Mountains. There are many peninsulas and islands near the mainland. The continent’s shores stretch for thirty-eight thousand kilometers. Europe covers an area of about ten million square kilometers. The climate here invariably varies, depending on the territory, from temperate to subtropical.
